What is Sea Glass?

Sea glass is naturally weathered glass that has been transformed by the ocean over time. Originating from broken bottles, windows, and other glass items that find their way into the sea, these fragments are tumbled by waves and currents until they become smooth, rounded, and often frosted in appearance.

Found along shorelines – particularly where waves are strong or near historical dumping sites, sea glass is treasured for its unique texture and subtle colours. Once collected, it is cleaned and crafted into beautiful jewellery such as necklaces, earrings, and rings using techniques like wire wrapping, bezel settings, or by drilling holes to string the pieces.
